I have been going to Porters for about 7 years now, and I have never left unsatisfied with the service. It is one of the places I can go and not worried about getting taken advantage of because I am a woman. Every repair that was ever suggested that I get done were legitimate repairs I needed. I also appreciate the speedy service they provide. I have gone in there with a long laundry list of services needed to be completed, and majority of the time I am out of there within an hour. Only once did I have to wait over an hour, but considering the job that needed to be done it was completed pretty quickly

I have been taking my vehicles to Porters for about four years and they have always provided great service at a fair price and with an honest opinion. They always deliver what they promise and have actually told me I don't need to do certain things to my car when other mechanics were trying to make a quick buck (dealerships). The heater on the Jeep stopped working and we had the heater core flushed 2 times at another garage in Boone. This would only last about a day and Jeep would blow cold air. Rodney set up time for us to bring in vehicle and they did through flush of the complete cooling system, cost a little more but my son has heat again. Working at a ski slope and getting off work some nights at midnight you have to have heat in you vehicle. Thanks Rodney and Vicki!!

The original problem was thought to be a leak in yhe oil pan gasket but, Rodney and Robert keeped checking to fimd leak in timing cover gasket. This saved me a lot of money due to not replacing the wrong gasket. They do all my service that you can trust, Bob

Couple of weeks ago wy wifes car needed tires pretty badly. Only problem was we were supposed to be leaving for vacation the next day. My 95 Eagle Vision has been starting slow or dragging when it gets hot. Tuesday when I tried to restart the starter was real slow and would not start and smoke came out from under the hood. i TRIED AGAIN AND THE car STARTED. I DROVE TO PORTER'S AND THEY INSTALLED a new starter in less than a hour. Thanks, Bob Ellis They always take care of their customers.
